While we were waiting for his results an old lady in a wheelchair saw my son and got fond of him instantly. Asked our consent to kiss him on his feet and she got our blessing. She kept asking me and my husband some personal questions and we feel a bit awkward answering them but we're really polite.
Due to her age she managed to at least ask us the same question three times. She have told us to make MORE babies. Advised us that odd numbers bring good luck. So she said we'd better have three kids and could even give us some tips on how to have twins. Total stranger plus sex advice? AWKWARD.
This is not the only incident in which a stranger would tell us to have more babies. Common reason: "maganda ang produkto n'yo!" Funny, right? It's flattering but with our life these days having kids needs to be planned and prepared.
Would like to discuss in length about those people who have never been introduced to family planning. A family that has eight children with a mother that stays at home and a father that has a salary of below minimum. Or a family that has no income at all. Damn. Could not imagine a life like that. I could not bare to have more babies if I know I can not give them a beautiful life, one that they could be proud of. Okay, now I am getting chills. Might as well not go on with this subject.
Of course I want my son to have a brother or a sister. Hopefully everything is well in terms of financial, emotional and physical aspects when the time comes that we will be blessed with a wonderful baby, again. *crossing my fingers*
Signing off.
