I always have this feeling in which I am both happy and sad. What else could a mother feel if she is away from her child for more than a year now?
I am glad that the people who are taking care of my son back home are trust worthy and loving which I am so grateful for. Where else can you find someone who will be a mother to your son while you are away?
Seeing his pictures while he celebrates his birthday is absolute happiness! I love planning my son's birthday ever since his first one. But now that I am away since his second birthday I make it a point that I somehow plan it accordingly with coordination with the people back home.
My son loves the water so much so the perfect birthday celebration would always be a swimming party which by the way enjoyed by many specially during summer time in Philippines which my son's birthday falls on this season.
The celebration happened in Isola Vista in Batangas City. We did not hire a caterer this time because we were lucky enough to have a leftover lechon from my cousin's birthday two days ago and they made paksiw out of it which I might say its very good specially if it's made by Grace. So they added grilled pork belly, grilled hotdogs and pancit bihon. That's quite enough to enjoy a swimming party. And ooh, chips, cola and beers! What the heck. *laughs* I communicated with Pink Sweets for the marshmallow fondant Pocoyo birthday cake of my son which according to the people who tasted her finish product is good. One slightly negative feedback though, it's the fattest Pocoyo I have ever seen. *laughs* The tarpaulin is from my half sister which has Peppa Pig on it as it is one of my son's favorite characters as well.
Thank you Papa God for a wonderful and healthy baby boy. He gives us laughter and strength. xx
