People in Middle East are looking forward to Eid Al Fitr celebrations and establishments are posting their events on social media to attract people, of course. This is when locals usually go out of the country and enjoy the long weekend. Expats either go back home or stay in the country to celebrate it along with fellow expats. In my case, like most of the people I know in Doha celebrates Eid at home with family and/or friends. It was a fun day with my colleagues as we sang, danced and laughed all day through. I was told that aside from Eid, we were also celebrating an advance birthday for two of my friends and so the event was made successful due to our famous potluck. I loved how everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves in the gathering and this is the kind of crowd I’d like to be in if I’d get a chance to choose. Our company has tons of employees in it and only few of us are actually getting along well with each other and surprised me to think when I first came in Doha I thought it was easy to gain friends since all you have to do is stick with your kabayans and unfortunately that isn’t always the best choice. However, the people I am with this Eid are the ones I can truly call friends in the company. Cheers, to you guys! Signing off. |
